RideTrack is built to be privacy-first. Your ride data stays on your device—no accounts, no cloud sync, and no backend server.
1. Introduction
RideTrack is a mobile app that tracks your rides using GPS to calculate distance, speed, duration, and route. We take privacy seriously and aim to collect and use only what is needed for the app to work.
2. Data collection
RideTrack uses precise location (GPS) to track rides.
During a ride, the app may collect the following data:
- Location data (GPS coordinates over time to build a route)
- Ride statistics (distance, speed, duration, and related ride metrics)
This ride data is stored locally on your device. RideTrack does not use a backend server to store your ride history.
3. Data usage
Ride data is used only to provide core app functionality, including:
- Tracking rides
- Displaying ride statistics
- Showing route maps after or during a ride
4. Data sharing
RideTrack does not sell your data. We do not share personal data with third parties, and we do not send your ride history to external servers.
5. Third-party services
RideTrack may rely on third-party services for specific functionality. These providers may process limited data required to deliver their services. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies, and RideTrack does not control those policies.
- Map services (for displaying maps). When map content loads, the provider may receive technical data (such as device and network information) needed to deliver map tiles.
- RevenueCat (subscriptions). RevenueCat may process purchase-related information to manage subscription status. RideTrack does not send your ride history to RevenueCat.
6. Data storage
- All ride data is stored locally on your device.
- No cloud sync.
- No account system is required.
7. User control
- You can delete rides within the app.
- Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device.
8. Security
RideTrack stores ride data locally on your device. RideTrack does not transmit your ride history to a backend server.
9. Children’s privacy
RideTrack is not intended for children under the age of 13.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update this page with the latest version.
